As an equatorial country, Indonesian archipelago is suitable for SPS receiving site. This paper describes rectenna development aspects in Indonesia to get a picture that can be used in determining policy in the field of electrical energy supply in the future. It is recommended that to maximize the land utilization, the rectenna structure must be made at least 60% translucent. It could be built in the area of barren, or desert land that is widely available in Eastern Indonesia. Rectenna should be built with the concept of greening, in which the presence of electrical energy can be greened barren areas. Another alternative for rectenna site is in uninhabited coral islands, which are widely scattered throughout the Indonesian archipelago.
