RIASSUNTO
In the present study, the potential of fly larvae meal as a protein source for incorporation in a diet used in culture animals of the genus Macrobrachium is evaluated. Two experimental feeds were formulated based on meal larvae, with differences in protein content (25 and 35%); they were provided to individuals of the genus and compared opposite with two commercial foods with the same percentage of protein, for a period of 90 days to determine the following response factors: survival rate, growth rate, feed conversion and protein efficiency. The experimental results show that feeds have acceptable yields in the first 60 days of work, however, at concluding the work, the highest yields were presented in the commercial feed with 35 % of protein.
