DESCRIZIONE
The method comprises continuously guiding filamentous algae-containing water by a filtering system having a filter with pore size suitable for restraining algae and having an integrated mechanism for continuously irradiating the algae-containing water to be filtered with light from technical sources, and switching on the light during the night and switching off during the day for reducing the algae growth or switching off the light during the night and switching on during the day for increasing the algae growth. The light has a wavelength of 100-280 nm. The light has a wavelength of 100-280 nm. The switch-on and switch-off of the light are carried out by a controller in a time- or light-dependent manner. The time-dependent control takes place by a programmable timer and the light-dependent control takes place by a photosensitive sensor such as a photocell. An independent claim is included for a device for controlling algae growth in water bodies.
