DESCRIZIONE
The invention relates to a catching device for moving objects or persons, said device being based on thermoplastic polyurethane obtained by reacting at least one of each of the following starting materials: (a) diisocyanate, (b) compounds which are reactive towards isocyanate and which have a number-average molecular weight (Mw) between 0.500 x 103 g/mol and 10 x 103 g/mol, and (c) a chain-elongating agent which has a molecular weight between 50 g/mol and 499 g/mol, optionally: (d) using a catalyst, conventional auxiliaries, and/or (f) additives, wherein the catching device comprises a film or a net, which is made of the thermoplastic polyurethane, and retaining devices, between which the film or the net is stretched flat, and the thermoplastic polyurethane is transparent. The invention further relates to the use of thermoplastic polyurethane for producing catching devices and to a method for producing a catching device made of thermoplastic polyurethane.
