RIASSUNTO
ABSTRACT
The authors have tackled the environmental assessment problem about Cambodian shoreline since 2008, and performed many observations about the geographical map, water current, weather and etc. This study reports the observation result about the feature of topography, tidal change and weather. And furthermore, this study simulates the tidal flow and wind-driven flow. Ultimately, this study tries to know the flow mechanism of this region. Firstly, this study performed the field survey and got the information about the feature of the current, topography, the tidal level and the wind. Secondary, this study made the geographic data by the sonar data. Finally, this study did the numerical simulation about the tidal current and the wind-driven current, and tried to comprehend about the current mechanism in this region.
INTRODUCTION
The total extension of the Cambodian shoreline is approximately 500km. However this region has the abundance of natural piscatorial resources due to the semi-enclosed, calm, shallow sea and the enormous mangrove grown coast. The Cambodian Environmental Impact Assessment Law was came into force, recently. To perform the environmental impact assessment, the flow mechanism, the water quality and another physical quantities need to be known, however the observed data in this region does not supply in the present.
The authors have concerned in the assessment about this region since 2008, and made many observations, for example, the geographical map, the water flow mechanism, weather and etc. This study reports the observation result and feature of topography, tidal change and weather. And furthermore, this study simulates the tidal flow and wind driven flow. Ultimately, this study tries to know the flow mechanism of this region.
Firstly, this study performed the field survey and comprehended the feature of the current, topography and etc. After the field survey, this study observed the time history of the tidal level and the wind. Furthermore, the tidal harmonic constant, the prevailed wind speed and the prevailed wind direction in this region were decided by the observation data and by the prediction model.
