DESCRIZIONE
A flavoring device (200; 400; 1000) is proposed. The flavoring device (200; 400; 1000) is adapted to be associated with a cooking chamber (315; 515) of a cooking oven (100; 100') adapted to cook food stored therein. The flavoring device (200; 400; 1000) comprises at least one flavoring casing (205; 1003) having an air inlet opening (210; 1012) arranged for allowing air to enter said flavoring casing (205; 1003), a flavoring air outlet opening (270c; 1030b) arranged for allowing air contained within said flavoring casing (205; 1003) to pass to said cooking chamber (315; 515), and a flavoring air path (600; 1061) traversing said flavoring casing (205; 1003) and fluidly connecting said air inlet opening (210; 1012, 1036) to said flavoring air outlet opening (270c; 1030b). The flavoring casing (205; 1003) houses, at least while in operation: a heating element (305; 405; 1019) arranged in said flavoring air path (600; 1061) for heating the air flowing through said flavoring air path (600; 1061), and a flavoring substance rack (240; 1027) arranged at least partially in said flavoring air path (600; 1061) downstream said heating element (305; 405; 1019) and adapted to contain at least one flavoring substance. Moreover, the heating element (305; 405; 1019) is housed spaced apart from the flavoring substance rack (240; 1027) in such a way that, in operation, heat is transferred from said heating element (305; 405; 1019) to said flavoring substance rack (240; 1027) mainly by air flowing inside the flavoring casing (205; 1003) from the air inlet opening (210; 1012) to the flavoring air outlet opening (270b; 1030b) through said flavoring air path (600; 1061).
