The present teachings generally provide curable polysiloxane compositions including a base resin and a lubricating liquid. The curable polysiloxane compositions can create a slippery material or coating, where an overlayer of the lubricating liquid is spontaneously presented at an exposed surface of the cured base resin. Articles of manufacture including the curable polysiloxane compositions and slippery coatings and materials also are provided. Per some aspects of the invention addition and condensation based curable silicone coating composition is provided which may be used to to provide slippery, lubricious, or repellent materials and coatings against a fluid matter including water, oil, viscous fluids, slurries, complex fluid mixtures with or without solids in them, biological fluids and organisms, bodily fluids, ice, frost, and mixtures thereof; to reduce drag or friction; to enhance product performance by providing slippery feeling, by providing anti-fouling function, by providing application mechanism of payloads such as lubricants, personal care products, drug molecules, and biocides; to provide non-stick or easy-to-clean function; to provide anti-fouling or foul-release function on open surfaces, internal surfaces, membranes; to provide pinning free or low contact angle hysteresis surfaces; to provide homogeneous interface to suppress nucleation; to provide a barrier layer such as anti-corrosion; to provide anti-stain, anti-smudge, anti-fingerprint, anti-soil function. The curable silicone coating composition of the present invention comprises a stable thin liquid overlayer (LOL) leading to a slippery surface with very low roll-off angle for water typically seen as equal or greater than 15 degrees when a 15 uL water droplet is applied on said slippery surfaces. In addition, the curable polysiloxane compositons can further incorporate at least one or more surface active amphiphilic polymers leading to a self-lubricating amphiphilic slippery coating, and can incorporate optional biocides and/or biocidal effect boosters that can further impart anti-biofouling functions in both static and dynamic conditions.
