The invention is directed to fat based food products, which food products have a cholesterol lowering effect when the food product is used. More in particular, the present invention provides food products comprising sterol compounds.
The present invention provides a fat based food product comprising less than 3% sterol compounds having a degree of esterification in the range of 40% - 100%, and at least 15% of an additive formulation comprising natural cholesterol lowering components, the remainder being conventional food product constituents.
