For deep marine aquarium applications, this study introduced how to design expandable optical kits for LED aquarium lights to help the artificial breeding corals for indoor aquaculture. In this field, the LED lights must provide strong spotlight effect and higher light intensity for coral growth. It is different with the wide and deep diffusion kits that need very good performances of penetration, color mixing’ enriched blending, and shimmer etc. In this study, we design the Fresnel lens with different rear pattern and diffuse particle to provide variety solutions. The results demonstrate the flat pattern with 0.70 % diffuser particle for Fresnel Lens is the best. Although it had less spots but better color mixing on the large colonies of coral, it also shows the very consistent shade of color and more uniformity for most coral aquarium tank applications. The study contributions give the good performances and aquaculture design references for aquarium industries and hobbyists to apply the LED lighting products in deep marine aquariums.
