Acquacoltura e Pesca Pubblicazione scientifica Development of a Long-Range Marine Communication System for Fishery Buoy Searching FILONE TECNOLOGICO TEMA economia circolare e sostenibilità sicurezza e qualità sui luoghi di lavoro RIASSUNTO This paper describes the development of a long-range wireless communication system, a technology that uses the unlicensed spectrum below 1 GHz with a form of direct-sequence spread-spectrum modulation, providing signal detection below the noise level to detect fishery buoys at sea. According to our experiments, the Global Positioning System position of a buoy could be transmitted to a fishing boat at a distance of 15 km. Therefore, fishermen can find the buoy faster than searching with the naked eye. This helps them find a buoy even if its position is greatly altered by currents or during poor-visibility conditions DATA Data di pubblicazione: 01/10/2018 AUTORI HYEONWOO CHO SON-CHEOL YU ENTE DI AFFERENZA DEPT CREATIVE IT ENG POHANG UNIV SCIENCE & TECH POSTECH POHANG 37673 SOUTH KOREA RIVISTA OCEANS 2018 MTS/IEEE Charleston (Page(s): 1-5)
