At present, the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has become an important satellite navigation system in the maritime domain. Automatic Identification System (AIS) as a tool for safety of navigation and security, it can effectively improve the safety of the vessel and play a very important role in maritime navigation, communications, collision avoidance, sea rescue and other aspects of the investigation. In order to guarantee the marine navigation safety, the GNSS augmentation method based on the AIS is increasingly researched. This paper researches the system structures of two solutions of GNSS augmentation method and transport mechanisms of differential augmentation information correction broadcasted based on AIS. The experimental results show that the proposed method greatly improves the positioning accuracy of offshore moving vessels.
