RIASSUNTO
This research looks at the idea of the role that architects and design can take to explore large scale territories through emergent technologies with the purpose to contextualize architecture and urban projects. We live in an age of cyclic changes, were not only these technologies impact on architectural education and practice but also where climate change practically forces us to rethink human and architecture relation with nature. With this premise, there are opportunities that emerge for architects in a world where large scale territories are only being intervened by social, economic, political, cultural and engineering organizations. Within technologies, architects can adopt an agent character to explore new alternatives to the main threats of urban problems and make relevant decisions to influence the way the world is shaped.
