DESCRIZIONE
The present invention relates to a system (1) for the long-term storage of marine worms (2), including at least one stack (3) of plastic trays (4, 10, 11) for holding the marine worms and provided with a turned-out rim (7), and comprising means (8, 9) for the so-called upper tray (10) to engage with a so-called lower tray (11). The system comprises means (14) for supplying water (15) from the tray stack recirculated from the bottom of the pile, and means (17) for recovering and raising said water for said supply. The engagement means (8, 9) are arranged to enable the trays to be nested within one another at a height h or h/_ which is predetermined to be greater than 1/5th of the height of the tray, by providing an annular space (19) having a constant or substantially constant width i or i/_ between the opposite walls of the nested trays, each tray (4) comprising, in the upper portion of a sidewall, at least one overflow opening (20) connected to the top of the annular space.
