DESCRIZIONE
The invention relates to an apparatus for recovering people who have fallen overboard especially of leisure boats according to the preamble of the main claim. It is in particular suited for recovering people from smaller boats, in particular motorboats and rowboats. The aim of the invention to propose an apparatus for recovering people who have fallen overboard especially of leisure boats that is easy to stow and can be installed on a motorboat in just a few steps is achieved in that a main body (3) having a predominantly U-shaped cross-section, the opening of which is directed downward, is placed onto a cleat (2) disposed in the vicinity of the vessel's side such that it surrounds said cleat (2) from above. The main body (3) is rigidly connected to said cleat (2) by connecting elements (31). On the main body (3), a mount (4) is connected thereto, from which a pendant (5) extends primarily perpendicularly upwardly, which is hinged in the main body (3) by way of a shaft (43) and can be fixed in the perpendicular or slightly inwardly inclined position by a locking device (42). A stop (41) disposed in the mount (4) causes the pendant (5) to fold down only inboardly by way of the shaft (43) when releasing the locking device (42). The upper block (61) of a tackle (6) is attached to the upper end of the pendant (5), and the lower block (62) thereof can be connected to the person to be rescued by way of a coupling device (7).
