In order to overcome the disadvantages of complexity of intelligent monitoring and control systems based on cable communication, inconvenience of installation for equipment, one kind of remote monitoring system for intensive aquaculture based on wireless sensor network is presented. The structures of sensor nodes and control unit are designed for practical conditions. The system adopts topology of cluster for the wireless sensor network to transfer data. One algorithm of fuzzy PID applied in intensive aquaculture is also designed to control dissolved oxygen concentration. The experimental results show that after adopting fuzzy PID algorithm, dissolved oxygen concentration needs 10 minutes to reach aimed 8.0mg/L in a targeted fishpond, and the maximum deviation value is 1.25%, respectively, reduces 4 minutes and 4.0% than conventional PID algorithm's. The system can meet demands for both precise control and reliable communications.
